10 years in bookkeeping, QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor, Freshbooks Certificate, Annual Filing Season Program Certificate, Jody first found her love for numbers at around the age of 12. Her mother was a bookkeeper and started to teach her so she could help when needed. Mesmerized by the rhythmic whirring of the calculator and how a piece of financial data from this month could affect data 2 months in the future; the way the numbers seemed to tie into each other - she knew she had found her passion.

So, she learned everything she could from her mom before her mom lost her battle with Cancer in 2017. Now, she looks to each day as a new day to be better than her yesterday, knowing that in doing so, she would be making her mom proud.

But she wasn't always just a bookkeeper. Her first "real" job was at the age of 12 working for a family business as a cashier and learning to keep the books with her mom. She has added close to 18 years of Customer Service & Retail experience to her bookkeeping skills through the years. And in 2015 she graduated with an associate degree in accounting. Armed with the knowledge from her education, she knew she wanted to focus on bookkeeping, & set out to gain work experience - working as a Payroll Clerk for a Transportation company, an Administrative Assistant for the REACH Museum, within the construction industry and for an electrician as a Full-Charge bookkeeper, she was able to not only put to use her schooling; but had also learned a great deal more along the way. Jody is a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor & also has her QBO Advanced Certification. She has also completed the Certified Bookkeeper course through Intuit as well. Constantly looking for new ways to improve and/or add to her skillset, she isn't afraid to step out of what's familiar and into the endless possibilities new roads can lead to.
